Several years ago I lost or misplaced the original copies of my violin tablature book, 25 Christmas Carols in Violin Tab. A few years went by with me thinking it might turn up.
Really, I believe Office Depot tossed it out. But, I don’t know for sure. Anyway, I finally admitted it was gone, period.
This fall I set out to bring the project back to life. In the process, I think I fixed a few minor problems. The resulting ebook is clean and clear to use.
It’s written for violin students who are intermediate to advanced and for fiddlers who haven’t learned music notation yet. The tab charts follow certain violin bowing conventions that are different from fiddle bowings.
These bow techniques are taught in the Suzuki Book One. The first five pieces cover the techniques, so you know they can’t be very difficult. They’re just important for violinists.
